Responsible gambling

Why this page exists
BAI8 is research, not gambling. But the research is about bets, and betting loses money for most people who do it. If betting has stopped being something you choose freely, the numbers on this site are not the thing to look at. The help below is.
Signs worth taking seriously
Any one of these is reason to stop and talk to someone:
- You bet more than you planned, or more than you can afford to lose.
- You bet to win back what you lost.
- You hide your betting, or borrow money to bet.
- Betting affects your sleep, your work or the people close to you.
Tools that stop the betting itself
Your bookmaker can set deposit limits, time-outs and self-exclusion on your account. National schemes block you from every licensed bookmaker at once: GAMSTOP in Great Britain (gamstop.co.uk) and BetStop in Australia (betstop.gov.au). In France, ask the ANJ to add you to the national exclusion list (anj.fr).
BAI8 cannot close or limit a bookmaker account, because it holds none. If you want your BAI8 account closed, delete it from Settings, or write to [email protected] and a person will do it.

The age rule
BAI8 is for adults. You must be at least 18, or older where the law where you live sets a higher betting age, such as 21 in many US states.
