What moved the number

• United are short of bodies. Manchester Evening News reports Luke Shaw and Kobbie Mainoo did not travel after picking up knocks in the 1–1 draw with Tottenham. • Atlético have a full squad. ESPN lists no absentees for the home side.
• The Metropolitano has been hard to visit. Goal notes Atlético have won nine of their last 11 league phase matches there, and every one of their last eight fixtures went over 2.5 goals.

What could make us wrong

United's absences are mostly at full-back and in central midfield. If Michael Carrick's makeshift side sits deep and the game stays tight, the draw at 26.0% is a real path. A late change in Atlético's line-up, or the quote moving well away from 2.31 before kick-off, would change the edge without our chance moving at all.

How it settled

Atlético won 2–0, per Sky Sports. Pablo Barrios scored inside the first minute, Leny Yoro was sent off after an on-field review, and Ademola Lookman added the second in the 79th minute. Our call was Atlético, and the Desk record settles it as won. We were right that a thin United side would struggle at the Metropolitano, but our 42.6% sat almost on the market's 43.3%, so the result says little about the price, and the run of games over 2.5 goals we quoted did not continue.
